Her philosophy
Treating the whole person —
mind, body, and spirit.
Marissa graduated from Springfield College in 2009 with a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy. It was there that she developed her belief in treating the whole person — mind, body, and spirit — as an integrated system. Guided by the understanding that the body is designed to function cohesively, she takes a holistic approach to care, helping clients achieve meaningful, lasting improvements in their health and quality of life.
To further support this philosophy, Marissa earned her 200-hour yoga instructor certification in 2016. By incorporating principles of yoga into her treatment approach, she helps clients improve movement, build body awareness, and develop a deeper connection between breath and physical function. This integrative approach empowers individuals to reach their goals while fostering long-term wellness and resilience.
Marissa brings extensive experience from both home health and inpatient rehabilitation settings. Throughout her career, she has been passionate about building strong relationships with her clients and believes that the best outcomes are achieved through individualized, one-on-one care.
She founded MoveWell Medicine to bring high-quality physical therapy and wellness services directly to her clients. Her mission is to serve as a trusted partner throughout the aging process — helping individuals remain active, healthy, independent, and engaged in the activities they love for as long as possible.
